Boudh: In a tragic incident, a man died while his wife escaped with injuries in a road mishap in Odisha’s Boudh district on Friday.
According to sources, Jagannath Jagadala and his wife Padmalaya Jagadala of Baidikata in the district were returning home on a bike when another hit them head-on. The accident took place near Khuntabandha chowk in Boudh on the National Highway 57.
Jagannath and the other bike rider died on the spot, while Padmalaya sustained injuries. On being informed, a team from Boudh police station went to the spot and sent Padmalaya to a local hospital. Later, she was shifted to Medical College and Hospital at Burla in Sambalpur district.
Jagannath was working as a teacher in the Polytechnic Institute of Boudh. The identity of other deceased person has not been identified.
