Cuttack: A man was electrocuted atop a good trains while allegedly attempting to steal coal at Gurudijhatia railway station in Athagarh area of Cuttack district on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Jitendra Behera (35), a resident of Chaagaon.
According to sources, Jitendra climbed onto a coal-laden goods train after it halted at the station at around 8-8.30 am. While attempting to steal coal, he accidentally came in contact with a high-voltage wire and was burnt to death.
The GRP have recovered the body and sent it for postmortem.
