Kaniha: A 30-year-old man was electrocuted to death at Sipur village in Angul district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Haria Gochhayat of Gahama village under Samala police limits in the district.
Haria came in contact with an 11 KV power line while trimming a tree near his sister’s house.
Following the incident, a group of locals blocked Sipur-Khamar road demanding adequate compensation to the family of the deceased.
Police, who rushed to the spot after being informed, sent the body for postmortem, reports said.
