Bargarh: In a tragic incident, a man ended his life after allegedly stabbing his wife to death over a family feud in Bhatli area of Odisha’s Bargarh district.
As per preliminary information, the incident was took place at Kushanpuri under the jurisdiction of Bhatli police station the district.
The two were identified as Kishore Bhue and his wife Sunita Bhue.
Sources said Kishore allegedly hanged himself with a rope after killing his wife with a sharp-edged weapon at their rented house on Friday night.
A police team from Bhatli visited the site and launched a probe after being informed about the incident by the house owner.
Sources said the couple had got married 14 years ago and were staying in Bhatli area for the past 4 years.
However, an altercation between the couple over a family feud in the past few days could have led to murder and suicide, police suspected.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the man died by suicide after stabbing his wife to death. The bodies have been recovered and sent for post-mortem.
