Kantabanji: A man allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife at Bhalumunda under Bangomunda police limits in Balangir district late on Sunday.
According to information, Kuparachand Bachcha had a heated argument with his wife Kaikeya Bachcha over a petty issue. The verbal fight among the dup took an ugly turn when Kuparachand, in a fit of rage, picked up an axe and hacked his wife to death.
Fearing arrest, Kuparachand allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling of the house with a piece of cloth.
On being informed about the incident by neighbours, police rushed to the spot and seized the bodies.
However, locals told police that the couple used to have frequent quarrels over some family disputes.
