Man Found Dead In Odisha Capital, Wife Detained

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Tuesday recovered the body of a man lying in a pool of blood in a house in a slum in Chandrasekharpur area.

On being informed by locals, Chandrasekharpur police rushed to the Mandap slum and recovered the body. The deceased has been identified as Shyam Mundari.

Police later detained his wife Jhinki Mundari following a complaint by Shyam’s brother Shankar Mundari.

Talking to the mediapersons, Shankar said his brother, who was working as a sanitation worker of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), has no enmity with anyone.

“There was a quarrel between my brother and his wife recently and she had beaten him up with a wooden shaft. Due to the injury on his right leg, my brother was limping,” he added.
