Bargarh: Mystery shrouds the death of a man after his body was found floating in a river in Odisha’s Bargarh district on Tuesday.
According to sources, the deceased man was identified as Ganapati Behera from Barikela village under Padmapur police limits in the district. He had been working in a women’s college in the town for the last several years.
Some villagers found his body floating in the river in the morning and informed the police. A team from Padampur police station along with Fire personnel went to the spot and recovered the body from water. Later, they sent the body for post-mortem.
The police said the cause of Ganapati’s death could not be ascertained from preliminary investigation. It would be revealed after getting the post-mortem report.
Meanwhile, the police have registered a case of unnatural death and started further investigation.
