Bhubaneswar: A youth was found dead inside an auto-rickshaw parked near Rama Devi Women’s University in Odisha capital on Sunday morning.
The identity of the deceased, believed to be in the age group of 30 to 40 years, is yet to be ascertained.
Police sources said that the body was found lying on backseat of the auto-rickshaw parked adjacent to wall of the university’s auditorium. Investigation revealed that the auto belonged to Srikant Mishra of Pahal area, who worked as a security guard at the university.
While Srikant has been detained for questioning, sources said that he has expressed complete ignorance about the incident. The CCTV cameras inside the university campus and surrounding areas are being examined for any clue or visuals on movement of the deceased, sources added.
Meanwhile, police have seized the auto and sent the body for postmortem.
