Man Found Dead On Tracks Near Lingaraj Rly Station In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A youth was found on the tracks with his face down near Lingaraj Temple Road railway station in Bhubaneswar on Monday morning.

Local spotted the body and informed police.

A police officer told the media that the person had sustained severe injuries and his face was beyond recognition. His right leg was also broken from near hip joint. “The body was found between Lingaraj station and Kargil slum. A case of unnatural death has been registered and a detailed investigation is underway,” the cop added.

Government Railway Police (GRP) later seized the body and sent it to Capital Hospital here for postmortem.  While the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, police said that he would around 30 years.

Locals suspect that he might have fallen off a moving train last night.
