Bhubaneswar: A A 21-year-old youth was found hanging from a tree near the Jagannath temple inside Utkal University campus in Odisha capital on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Uttam Nayak aka Kalia, an auto-rickshaw driver. He is a native of Pipili.

According to sources, his grandmother worked at the varsity and they had been residing on the campus since long. Kalia was with his family last night and went off to sleep around 12 midnight.

Meanwhile, Saheed Nahar Police have recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. There were also cut marks on his hand. His family, however, denied him having any past enmity.
