Man From Odisha Among 2 Arrested For Posing As IAS Officer To Meet Delhi L-G VK Saxena

New Delhi: A person from Odisha is among two arrested by Delhi Police for allegedly posing as IAS officer and entering the office of Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena.

The accused have been identified as Abhimanyu Sethi (41) and Abhishek Chaudhary (27). Sethi hails from Odisha.

According to reports, the incident took place on Wednesday when Sethi visited the LG’s office and introduced himself as IAS officer and Chaudhary as the Personal Assistant of an MP . They told the staff at LG’s office they had a prior appointment with Saxena.

On further verification, their identities were found to be false and a case of impersonation (Section 149) was lodged at Civil Lines police station. “No criminal record has been found against both of them, but since they tried to impersonate and enter LG’s house, the police have arrested them,” the police said.

Further investigation is underway.
