Man hacked to death in Balasore village

Balasore: A man was allegedly hacked to death by his manservant at Chamar village in Jaleswar of Balasore district late on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Sushil Kumar Das.

According to reports, the accused identified as Raghubir attacked his owner with an axe following an argument over a petty issue.

Das was rescued by his family members and admitted to a nearby hospital in a critical condition. He, however, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Based on a complaint lodged by Sushil’s family members, Jaleswar police arrested Raghubir. Further investigation into the matter is on.
