Bargarh: A man was allegedly hacked to death over old rivalry in Odisha’s Bargarh district on Saturday.
According to sources, Magshira Sahu and Sushant Sahu of Bandutikra in Bargarh town were engaged in a heated exchange of words over past rivalry in the afternoon.
As the argument escalated, they attacked each other and the fight continued for some time. Meanwhile, Magshira brought out an axe and hit Sushant with it. Sushant fell down in a pool of blood.
On being informed, a team from Bargarh Town police station went to the spot and started. Later, they recovered the body of Sushant from the house of Sushant in the area.
The family of Magsihra has filed a complaint with the police alleging that Sushant had murdered him for past rivalry. They also said a criminal case was already pending against Magshira in the police station.
