Bhubaneswar: A dispute over family issues led to a violent end as a man hacked his brother-in-law in the city late Thursday night.
According to sources, Papuni Nayak and his brother-in-law Sushant Ghad
ei of Dhirikuti Basti under Mancheswar police limits had an argument over some family issues. The argument led to heated exchange of words between the two and in a fit of range, Papuni attacked Sushant with a sharp weapon.
As Sushant died following excessive bleeding, Papuni fled. Sushant was working as a sweeper at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in the city.
On being informed by Sushant’s family, police went to the spot. Following investigation, police launched a manhunt for Papuni and arrested him on Friday morning.
They sent the body for post mortem and further investigation is on.
