Dhenkanal: A man allegedly hacked his brother-in-law to death over past enmity at Bidyabandha village under Dhenkanal Sadar police limits on Saturday night.
Sources said Rudra Narayan Naik had gone to his in-law’s house to celebrate Holi. There, he got into a heated argument with Nagesh Rout over something and in a moment of rage attacked him with a sharp weapon, killing him on the spot. Rudra’s wife and mother-in-law sustained critical injuries in their bid to rescue Nagesh.
The police rushed to the spot and seized Nagesh’s body for post-mortem. Rudra managed to flee from the spot.
