Jajpur: A man allegedly hacked his 60-year-old mother to death with a billhook at Binjharpur village in Odisha’s Jajpur district late on Saturday.
The accused has been identified as Gopal Ojha. He was nabbed by police from Bidapada village this morning.
According to sources, Gopal was stressed over family issues because of which he could not get married and suspected to have killed his mother, Premalata Ojha, in a fit of rage.
The body of deceased woman has been sent to district headquarters hospital for postmortem.
