Balangir: A woman was allegedly hacked to death by her husband at Barapurugia village under Sadar police limits in Balangir district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Gouri Nag.
“Gouri and her husband Ganesh Nag used to quarrel over petty family issues. They exchanged harsh words after an argument early in the morning. An enraged Ganesh then attacked Gouri with an axe, killing her on the spot”, a local resident said.
Sadar police are investigating the case and a search operation has been launched to nab the accused, who fled the spot after committing the crime.
