Bhubaneswar: Chandrasekharpur police arrested a man for allegedly killing a mason after a drunken altercation late on Thursday night.
The deceased, Deepak, stayed in a slum near Kalyan Mandap at Damana Square. The identity of the accused is yet to be ascertained.
According to police sources, the duo were inebriated and got into an altercation. The accused started beating Deepak with a wooden plank, killing him on the spot.
Later, a team from Chandrasekharpur police station reached the spot and arrested the accused. They sent the body for post-mortem and started an investigation.
