Bhawanipatna: Kalahandi police on Monday arrested a militia of Kandhamal-Kalahandi-Boudh-Nayagarh (KKBN) division from Barabandha Jungle under Madanpur Rampur police station limits.
The accused has been identified as, Ghana Majhi, 30, a resident of Sikuli village.
SP (Kalahandi), B Gangadhar said acting on a tip-off, a special team of the police conducted a raid in the jungle and caught Majhi red-handed while he was carrying few explosive materials, which was to be supplied to the Maoists. The police also recovered leaflets and food items from him.
Madanpur Rampur police registered a case and forwarded Majhi to court where his bail petition was rejected.
