Man Holds Himself Responsible For Son’s Death, Commits Suicide In Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: The pressure of studies and exams can sometimes be fatal and ruin a family. This happened in the case of Ranjit Rohidas (40) on Friday. He blamed himself for his son’s death and committed suicide by consuming poison at Bhanura village under Bagadihi police limits in Jharsuguda district.

According to sources, Ishwar Rohidas, was Ranjit’s son. He was a Class X student of Bhanura High School. The father and son had an argument over a study related matter after which Ishwar consumed poison and died on the way to the exam centre.

Holding himself responsible for his son’s death, Ranjit too, ended his life by consuming poison. A pall of gloom descended in the village following the deaths of the father-son duo.
