Man Injured In Croc Attack In Kendrapara

Kendrapara: A middle-aged man was injured after a saltwater crocodile attacked him at Belapal village of Rajnagar block in Odisha’s Kendrapara district on Saturday morning.

According to sources, Kailash Chandra Sethi of Belapal village had gone to the Brahmani river for a bath in the morning, when a crocodile suddenly pounced at him. He, however, managed to escape from the clutches of the reptile as it tried to drag him into deep waters.
Some villagers taking bath in the river also came to his rescue.

Sethi, who sustained serious injuries on his right leg, was rushed to the district headquarters hospital. His condition is stated to be stable.

The incident has triggered panic in the village.
