Bhubaneswar: A young man was killed in a hit=and-run accident in Chandrasekharpur area of Bhubaneswar.
According to sources, the victim was riding a motorcycle when a luxury car rammed into his bike. The youth was alle
gedly dragged quite a distance as the car did not stop after hitting the bike.
Instead of stopping the speeding car at the site, the driver sped away after the vehicle dragged the biker several metres. The youth, who sustained critical injuries, reportedly died later.
Police sources said the luxury car involved in the hit-and-run accident was later found abandoned at a deserted place in Patia area of the city. The owner and driver of the vehicle were reported to be missing.
While the car was shifted to Chandrasekharpur Police Station, a massive hunt has been launched to trace and apprehend the owner of the vehicle.
