Balangir: A motorcycle rider died on Saturday morning at Fasad Chhak in Odisha’s Balangir district after he was struck by an ambulance on NH-26.
The deceased has been identified Hemanta Pradhan of Loisingha.
According to sources, Hemanta was on his home when the 108 ambulance dashed against his bike, killing him on the spot.
The ambulance’s driver left the scene of the collision soon after the mishap.
Subsequently, the angry residents blocked a road and demanded compensation to the family of the deceased.
The police arrived at the scene after learning of the collision and initiated an investigation.
