Youth Killed, Father Critical As They Hack Each Other In Odisha’s Bhadrak

Bhadrak: In a shocking incident, a man hacked his son to death and himself got critically injured as both attacked each other during a family dispute at a village in Bonth area of Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Wednesday.

As per preliminary information, the incident took place at Sunagadia village under the jurisdiction of Bonth police station in the district.

Sources said an argument took place over some family issue between Madhav Barik and his 36-year-old son Sankarshan while they were having lunch this afternoon.

The argument turned ugly after they attacked each other with sharp weapons.

While Sankarshan died on the spot during the violent fight, his father sustained critical injuries.

He was rescued by the locals and rushed to the local hospital for treatment. Doctor referred him to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated further.

After getting information, police visited the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
