Koraput: A man was killed and his minor son critically injured as their bike collided with a mini-truck in Odisha’s Koraput district on Saturday.
As per reports, the man, identified as Dambaru Krishani of Urddigida village under Lamtaput block of the district, along with his 5-year-old son had gone on a motorcycle to Jeypore. They were returning home in the afternoon when their bike had a head-on collision with the mini-truck coming from opposite direction on Peta ghat road under Baipariguda police station.
Dambaru died on the spot after being thrown off the motorcycle while his son sustained critical injuries and fell unconscious. The locals rushed the minor boy to a hospital at Lamataput and informed the police.
A police team went to the accident spot and sent Dambaru’s body for post-mortem. They have registered a case and started investigation.
