Man Killed With Arrow Over Past Enmity Inside Sunabeda Sanctuary In Odisha’s Nuapada

Nuapada: A man was allegedly killed with an arrow by another man due to past enmity in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Saturday.

According to sources, Ramchan Panharia and Jalaram Panharia of Dathunama village Sunabeda sanctuary area in the district used to frequently engage in heated exchange of words due to the enmity.

On Saturday afternoon, when Ramchan had gone to deep forest to collect firewood, Jalaran shot him with an arrow from his bow. As Ramchan started bleeding from the wound and fell unconscious, Jalaran fled.

Later, Ramchan’s family came to know about the incident and rushed to the spot. They took an unconscious Ramchan to community health centre at Komna. But he was declared brought dead in the hospital.

On being informed, a team from Komna police station went the spot of incident and started investigation. They have registered a case and sent Ramchan’s body for post-mortem.
