Cuttack: A man allegedly killed five members of his elder brother’s family, including three children, at Kusupur under Mahanga police limits in Cuttack district. The crime came to light when the accused surrendered before Balichandrapur police in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Siba Sahu, also released a video, narrating the series of events that led to the crime. Sahu said that she shared a bitter relationship with his elder brother following family disputes and he would trouble him a lot. last night, his elder brother and his family attacked him, following which he lost his self-control and hacked them to death.
Sahu further said that he realised his mistake this morning and since he has no means to go to Mahanga, he is surrendering at the nearest Balichandrapur police station in Jajpur.
The deceased have been identified as Alekh Sahu, wife Rashmi, daughter Payal, and two sons Gudu and Tubuku.
A police team has reached the spot and began an investigation into the incident in presence of the district magistrate.
