Man Kills Elder Brother Over Family Feud; Body Recovered From Septic Tank

Aska: Police recovered the body of a man from a septic tank at Jayapur
village under Aska police station limits in Ganjam district on Friday.

Quoting family sources and local residents, a police officer said the
victim was found murdered with his throat slit. The person has been
allegedly murdered by his younger brother, who was released from jail
on parole four days back on the ground of his mother’s ailment.
Santosh was arrested in 2014 for on charges of killing his wife.

The accused identified as Santosh Patra is absconding after the
incident. He will be nabbed soon. Though the investigation is at a
preliminary stage, it is suspected that the incident could be the
fallout of a land-property related dispute, the officer added.

The body was sent for post-mortem.
