Bargarh: The police on Monday arrested a man for allegedly killing his father at Tarava village under Padmapur sub-division in Bargarh.
The deceased has been identified as Parsuram Sahu (75). His accused son has been identified as Kampal Sahu (38).
According to sources, Kampal and his father had a heated argument over a family dispute, following which he axed his father to death.
He was trying to bury the body inside the house, but some villagers forcefully entered the house and caught him.
On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the body for postmortem.
The police arrested Kampal on the charge of murder.
Further investigation into the matter is on.
