Bhubaneswar: A 28-year-old man was found hanging inside a rented house at Shreekhetra Vihar under Bharatpur police limits in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Shakti Prasad Satpathy, a native of Aska in Ganjam district. He was running a self-drive counter at CRFP Square in the city.

It is suspected that he may have taken the extreme step after a failed love affair. A letter purportedly written by the girl was found near the body, sources said. His friends claimed that the couple had distanced after a seven-year-long affair.

Meanwhile, police have sent the body for postmortem and initiated a probe after registering a case of unnatural death, sources said.
