Angul: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his son and buried the body following a family dispute at a village under Rengali area of Odisha’s Angul district.
Police sources said on Wednesday that the incident took place at Arkil village under Rengali Dam Site police station limits. Three members of the family have been detained in connection with the incident.

he deceased has been identified as Kuja Behera, while the accused father has been identified as Muralidhar Behera. The incident reportedly occurred after a heated argument between the victim and his father over a family matter escalated.
The accused allegedly mounted a brutal attack killed his son in a fit of rage. He then reportedly took the body to a nearby forest and buried it there.
The matter came to light after a search operation was launched following the victim’s disappearance. After several days of searching, the body was recovered from the forest six days after the incident.
Police have detained the accused father, along with the mother and the deceased’s first wife, for questioning to ascertain their roles in the incident. Further investigation is underway.
