Balipatna: In a gruesome incident, a man allegedly murdered his wife over a family dispute at Kakarudrapur in Balianta of Khurda district late on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Mamina Mallick.
According to locals, a heated argument broke out between the couple over some issue. In a fit of rage, the accused Chabi Mallick strangulatef her. She was killed on the spot.
Receiving information regarding the matter, police rushed to the spot and seized the body.
“The accused has absconded after committing the crime. A manhunt has been launched to nab him”, a police officer informed.
