Man Kills Wife, Injures 6-Year-Old Daughter In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: A man allegedly murdered his wife and slit his six-year-old daughter’s throat that left her critically injured over a suspected family fight in Ghatikia.

The accused was identified as Sanjit Das. His wife Saraswati died instantly. His daughter is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

DCP (Bhubaneswar) Pratik Singh reached the spot to probe the incident.

Addressing the media, Singh said that Saraswati was a nurse while Sanjit was jobless and an alcoholic.

Sanjit lived in a joint family along with his two brothers Manjit and Ranjit. He fled the spot after the crime.
