Man Kills Wife With Arrow Over Illicit Affair In Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A man allegedly killed his wife by shooting her with an arrow over extra-marital affairs in Odisha’s Kwnjhar district.

According to sources, Dasora Munda of Handibhanga village under Bambari police station in the district and his wife Chani Munda used to have fight regularly as the former accused the latter of having illicit relationship with another man of the village.

The issue cropped up between the couple on Wednesday night again. As Chani refuted the allegation and retorted at the allegation, Dasora got agitated. In a fit of rage, he shot an arrow at his wife.

Chani was shot in the chest and started bleeding profusely. But Dasora waited till morning to take her to the community health centre at Jhumpura. But Chani succumbed to injuries during treatment.

On being informed, police went to the hospital and detained Dasora. They were questioning him and further investigation was on.
