Man Loses Eye After Daughter Throws Boiling Water On Face In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In a gruesome incident, a woman allegedly threw boiling water on her father’s face in Bharatpur area of Bhubaneswar after a heated argument on Tuesday. The man reportedly lost an eye in the shocking incident.

According to preliminary information, the incident happened following a heated argument over some family-related dispute in a slum located in Bharatpur area in the capital city.

In a fit of rage, the woman lifted a pot and threw boiling water on the face of her father, causing him grievous injury. The man, identified as Ramesh Sasmal, was rushed to hospital. He has reportedly lost his left eye in the incident.

After getting information, the police visited the spot and launched an investigation. The woman, Bhagyalaxmi Sasmal, is being questioned by the police.
