Koraput: A man allegedly murdered his six-year-old daughter to get a “Hanuman coin” (touted to hold supernatural powers) at Taupadara village in Koraput district.
Sources said the man in a fit of superstition killed his daughter. He also cut her eyes and tongue.
Notably, a missing report was lodged at a police station some days ago. Following an investigation, police found the girl’s body.
Police, however, didn’t disclose the name of the accused person.
Further investigation into the matter is on, police said.
