Nabarangpur: A man allegedly raped his pregnant sister-in-law, while his wife recorded the act on her mobile phone at a village in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district.
Sources said couple allegedly threatened the survivor after the crime and took her to a local temple where she was made to vow that she would not tell anyone about the incident.
However, the woman mustered the courage to lodge a complaint with the police with the support of family members after which the accused and his wife were arrested.
As per information, the pregnant woman of Jagannathpur village under Khatiguda area was taking the help of her relative Padma Runjikar, who was a local ASHA worker for regular medical check-up.
However, when she went for medical check-up on February 28, Padma’s husband Lilia allegedly raped her. Padma not only helped him in the crime but recorded the act.
