Rourkela: Unidentified miscreants on Thursday looted cash to the tune of Rs 2.20 lakh from a man near a bus stand under Kutra police limits in Sundargarh district.
The incident took place when one Tapas Purohit left his house for some work with the cash.
According to sources, two motorcycle-borne miscreants intercepted Purohit near his house, and snatched away the bag, containing the money, at gunpoint.
Locals said that the looters fled towards Rajgangpur in the district.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started inquiry on basis of the statements of the victim and onlookers.
Raids are being conducted at various places in the district to nab the looters, sources added.
