Man Set Wife, Five-Month-Old Daughter Afire Over Family Feud

Nabrangpur: In a horrific incident, a man allegedly killed his wife
and five-month-old daughter by setting them afire at Chirima village
under Kosagumuda block in Nabarangpur district on Thursday.

Later, the accused identified as Tankadhara Bhatra surrendered before
the police.

According to locals, Bhatra torched his wife and minor daughter by
pouring kerosene over them. The accused committed the crime after a
verbal fight with her wife last night.

‘It is learnt that the couple used to quarrel frequently over family
issues. However, the matter is under investigation. The bodies have
been seized and sent for post-mortem”, a police officer informed.
