Sonepur: A man received a bullet injury after his son fired at him with punt gun during a domestic quarrel at Chinayuri village under Dunguripalli blockin Odisha’s Sonepur district on Sunday.
The injured, identified as Gangajal Meher, was initially admitted to Dunguripalli community health centre and later shifted to VIMSAR, Burla, in Sambalpur.
According to sources, Gangajal’s son Bikram Meher and daughter-in-law had an altercation over some issues. Gangjal tried to intervene and placate the couple. Infuriated, Bikram, who was allegedly in an inebriated condition, aimed at his wife, but his father came in the way and was hit in the waist.
On being informed, Dungurupali police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
