Man Shot Dead By Brother As New Year Revelry Turns Violent In Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: A man allegedly shot dead his younger brother after a new year feast turned violent in Bisra area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district.

The deceased was identified as Khirodhar Singh (26) of Teterkela.

According to reports, Khirodhar and his friends had organised a feast near Teterkela Chhak on the occasion of the new year on Monday.

As they were enjoying the celebration, his elder brother Umesh Singh reached the venue and entered into an argument with his younger brother over some issue.

Later, he opened fire at Khirodhar, who reportedly died on the spot.

Police recovered the body for post-mortem and detained four persons, including Umesh, for questioning in connection with the killing.
