Khurda: A man was allegedly shot dead by his elder step brother near Totapada in Khurda district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sabir, a betel shop owner.
According to available information, the accused opened fire on Sabir near his shop. The bullet hit him in his left eye, killing him on the spot.
Police have seized the body and sent it for postmortem. The attack is suspected to be the fallout of past enmity or family dispute.
