According to sources, Sheikh Samiruddin, his wife Asima Biwi and son Sheikh Arif had gone to collect stone chips from roads in Paschimabada under Jaleswar police limits in the district. They were resting near a house of Samiruddin’s brother when its concrete wall collapsed.
On hearing their cries for help, the family members of the house rushed to the spot. With the help of the local people, they retrieved the three persons from under the debris and rushed them to a local hospital.
