Mayurbhanj: A man was arrested for allegedly stoning his wife to death over a family dispute at Mankadapal village under Baripada police limits in Mayurbhanj on Thursday night.
The arrested has been identified as Gobind Nayak and the deceased as Phukana Nayak.
According to sources, the couple had a heated argument, following which, Gobind hit her head with a stone. Phukana died on the spot.
On being informed by the neighbouers, Baripada police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
