Nagpur: A 30-year-old man was suffocated to death after a rope tied around his neck became a noose during a kinky sexual act with his paramour in the city.
The incident was reported at a lodge in Nagpur’s Khaparkheda area on Friday morning.
According to police, the woman had tied the man’s hands and legs to a chair and put another rope around his neck to enhance sexual pleasure. The latter act proved to be fatal.
“The man had been in an illicit relationship with the woman, who is married and has a child, for the last five years. Both of them came to the lodge to spend time together. The woman tied his hands and legs to a chair with a nylon rope during sex. She allegedly used another rope around his neck to heighten sexual arousal,” a police officer was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
The officer added that after tying the man, the woman went to the washroom. During this time, the chair slipped and the rope around the man’s neck got tightened, turning into a noose that suffocated him.
“When the woman returned, she found her partner lying motionless,” the officer said.
After this, she called for help and a room service staffer came and untied the man. Police were also alerted about the matter.
The woman has been detained for questioning while the man’s body was sent for post-mortem.
Police said they have registered a case of accidental death and further investigation is on.
