Cuttack: A man luckily survived after allegedly attempting suicide by jumping from the third floor of a a private hospital here on Sunday.
He was identified as Ramesh Chandra Nayak (30), a native of Sudargarh. He was suffering from renal failure and was admitted to the hospital a few day back, sources said.
On Sunday morning, he broke the glass along the corridor on the third floor and jumped, only to land on a makeshift paan shop. He sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU of the same hospital.
His family members said that Nakay had got into depression because of his kidney ailment and it could have triggered the suicidal tendency in him.
