Man Sustains Critical Injuries As Bamboo Pole Pierces Into Abdomen In Odisha’s Angul

Angul: A worker identified as Lipu Bhutia of Sanatribida village here sustained critical injuries after a bamboo pole pierced into his abdomen on Tuesday.

According to sources, Lipu was working at a height on the premises on NTPC plant in Kaniha. Due to reasons not known, he fell from the height and landed on the pole.

Co-workers rescued Lipu from a pool of blood and rushed him to the nearest health facility. He has been shifted to Bhubaneswar for further treatment.

Sources added that the youth’s life was still in danger.
