In a bizarre yet disturbing incident, a man recently thrashed a doctor after his COVID-19 test result came out negative.
The incident took place at a COVID-19 care facility in Maharashtra’s Gondia district, according to Times News Network.
The man and his family members had taken the RT-PCR test for COVID-19 at the Gondia medical facility. While the other three tested positive for coronavirus, the man’s report was negative.
Seeing the reports, the man lost his cool. He attacked a doctor, claiming that he and his family members have been handed over incorrect COVID-19 test reports.
A video of the incident surfaced later, where the angry man is seen holding the doctor by the collar. He refuses to listen to some people, who appear to be his relatives, to let go of the doctor.
Those around somehow manage to pull the man away and set the doctor free. Within seconds, the rushes towards the doctor again, and is seen hitting the doctor.
Following a complaint by the victim, police have registered a case against the man. Investigation is underway.
