Bargarh: A man, who was allegedly assaulted and thrown into a well by miscreants on the assumption of being dead, was rescued alive after four days at a village in Odisha’s Bargarh district.

y at Samalaipadar village under Bijepur block.
According to sources, Tulsiram Bariha was allegedly assaulted by a group of miscreants on Sunday.
Thinking that he was dead, the accused reportedly threw him into the abandoned well inside the nursery and fled.
Even after sustaining severe injuries, Tulsiram remained alive inside the well for four days without food and water. His ordeal came to an end on Thursday when a villager who had gone to collect firewood heard faint sounds coming from the well and alerted others.
On being informed, fire service and police personnel rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. Tulsiram was successfully pulled out alive.
After receiving information, police initiated a probe and detained two persons in connection with the alleged assault. Investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident.
