Man Ties Wife Pregnant With Twins, Sets Her On Fire In Punjab

Amritsar: How cruel and inhuman can people get?

In a gruesome crime of terrible proportions, a man allegedly killed his pregnant wife after tying her to a bed and setting her on fire in Punjab’s Amritsar.

The incident took place on Friday in Buled Nangal village in Rayya area.

According to Inspector Gurvinder Singh, the couple used to have frequent quarrels. They had a heated argument on Friday following which Sukhdev tied Pinky, who was six months pregnant, to the bed and killed her by immolation.

Police said Pinky was pregnant with twins, and died on the spot. Sukhdev is absconding.

Police has registered a case against the man. An all-out search is on for the accused.
